I bought this stock unfinished in Nutmeg. Since I have a newer Stevens 200 the mounting holes don't line up. I managed to find a simple fix for this. In the original forward mounting hole I glued a 1/4" wooden dowel that flushed up with stock on the upper side and with lower end in the recess for the bushing (the bushing was removed first) I then fashioned a small 3/8" plug to fill the bushing hole. once dry I measured up the new mounting hole to fit the action and drilled it. I counter sunk the new bushing hole with a Forstner bit and voila! The action fit perfectly. Shim the magazine with 4 peices of .063" aluminum strips, cut the magazine tang, sand & finish for an amazing upgrade. My 22-250 has gone from 4" groups at 100 yds to 1.5" at 300 yds.
Thanks Boyd's for a superior product!
