Gunstocks for Savage 16 Lightweight Hunter

Boyds Gunstocks is proud to announce that it makes a line of gunstocks for the Savage 16 Lightweight Hunter. Considered a super-light-weight rifle at just under 6 lbs, this is a rifle you can easily carry from here to Timbukto and back.

By outfitting the Savage 16 with a light contour barrel and then spiral-fluting the bolt, Savage did everything it could to make this a fine-shooting lightweight as light as possible. Cutting weight, but without cutting corners, Savage shaved precious ounces by machining a bit from the receiver and lightening up the magazine just a tad. As a result, the Savage 16 Lightweight Hunter comes in at 5.56 pounds out of the box.

Boyds makes hardwood gunstocks in Classic and Prairie Hunter shapes for the Savage 16 Lightweight Hunter. Standard color options include: Nutmeg Laminate, Pepper Laminate, and Forest Camo Laminate. Additional custom options customers can order are: Custom Finish, Custom Length of Pull, Custom Butt Pads, and Custom Grips. Boyds makes several of its most popular laser engraving designs available as well, allowing customers to really dress up their gun.
