Magazine/Floor Plate Variations

ADL/Blind Magazine: This design can be identified by how you load and unload your firearm. Cartridges are loaded with the bolt in the open position and pushed down into the mag-well area of the stock. To unload, you need to cycle the bolt and extract each cartridge individually.

BDL/Hinged Floor Plate: This design can be identified by how you load and unload your firearm. Cartridges are loaded with the bolt in the open position and pushed down into the mag-well area of the stock. To unload, there is a switch or button usually located by the trigger, that when engaged will allow the bottom of the action to open and dispense unused cartridges in the palm of your hand. Some models such as the Browning A-bolt have a clip magazine that mounts to a hinged floor plate.

Drop Box or Detachable Mag: This design can be identified by how you load and unload your firearm. Cartridges are loaded into a clip that can be inserted into the stock and taken out of the stock by the push of a button. Clips are individual pieces that can be stored away from the firearm. Generally a Detachable Magazine rifle can be fit to a Hinged Floor Plate model. Gunsmithing/wood working experience is suggested to do this conversion.

AI Style Mag: This design can be identified by how you load and unload your firearm. Cartridges are loaded into a clip that can be inserted into the stock and taken out of the stock by the push of a button. Clips are individual pieces that can be stored away from the firearm. The appearance of the AI Mag is similar to the Detachable Box Mag. Precision-made steel detachable box magazine that is designed to fit the Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) and Badger Ordnance bottom metal.

After Market Floor Plates: Generally these parts will need to be fitted to our stocks as specific measurements might be different than what was offered by the factory. Contact the manufacturer of these items for these variations.
