Due to the varying ages, manufacture, condition and wear of SKS firearms, removal of wood or shimming the lower bearing surface at the rear of the trigger guard (fire control group) may be required to achieve a solid lock-up when the fire control group is installed and latched. We have picked a 'sweet spot' for this elevation that should provide this in most cases, but modification may be needed to get your desired result.
