Boyds stocks are meticulously engineered and machined from the most stable materials to maintain a free floated barrel to reduce the opportunity for collision between the barrel and stock. However, in some cases it's recommended to bed your action. One case, would be in heavy magnums or firearms with excessive recoil. Even though we install reinforcing cross bolts in our stocks, bedding your action on these firearms is a added safety, and highly recommended. ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: You will need your factory Trigger Guard, 2-Piece Hinged Floor Plate, 3 Action Screws, Machine Screw w/escutcheon(Forend Location), Magazine Box. It is your responsibility to confirm the dimensions of your firearm with the supplied dimensions of our part. All finished parts have been CNC inlet to Boyds' House Action.
